Automobile service visits have been around for as long as automobiles have been available for purchase. The typical service visit involves scheduling an appointment with a service provider, being given an approximate time frame for when the services will be complete, and then waiting to hear from the service provider regarding the status of the service. The wait period may include hours, days, or sometimes even weeks to receive a service update from a service provider. Some service providers may focus on customer service and, in turn, have developed communication processes for informing a customer of the timeline and advances of a particular service visit. These communications typically involve phone calls, emails or similar updates. Though such processes are beneficial, there is a need for a streamlined process of internal and external communications related to automobile service visits.
